One thing that you must do is look into any alternative sentences that might be possible. These can include drug court and similar options. Some people might qualify for these programs but others might not. In many cases, it is best to find out about these as early in the case as you can.
As you think about what you are going to do, you should think about how each option will impact your life right away; however, don’t discount what it might do to your future. Being convicted of a drug charge can have lasting effects on just about every aspect of your life.
