Verify your plans for the big game this weekend

| Feb 2, 2018 | Drunk Driving

This weekend is one that will be full of fun and excitement for football fans. If you are planning on heading out to watch the big game somewhere, you must make sure that you have a designated driver or a way to get home if you plan on consuming alcoholic beverages. Hopefully, you have already made those plans and just need to take a minute to verify that everything is still ready to go.

We realize that even the best laid plans might not go as you intended. If something happens and your transportation falls through, you will have to decide what you are going to do now. Unfortunately, you might not have much of a choice if you find this out at the party. You might be forced to drive home.

Be careful when you are trying to decide if you are going try to drive home. You should be honest with yourself about how much you have had to drink. There is a chance that you might end up getting pulled over on your way home. If this happens, don’t forget that you have rights and responsibilities when you are pulled over.

Even if you think that you are fine to drive, there is a chance that you are actually legally intoxicated. When this happens, you will be arrested for drunk driving. Don’t think that the charge will go away. Instead, you need to focus your energy on how you are going to fight against the charges. Explore each option and make a plan based on the facts of your case. We can help you with each point in the case.
