Mistakes could lead to life-long consequences

On Behalf of | Apr 1, 2016 | Drunk Driving

Drunk driving charges are often the direct result of failing to think things through when you should. If you are going to a party that you know will include alcohol, you should make sure that you have a plan for getting home. If you don’t plan ahead and end up driving home, you might end up facing criminal charges.

We understand that many drunk driving charges stem from a mistake. You mistakenly think that you are sober enough to drive. You mistakenly drank one too many drinks. In these cases, you might feel bad about your actions but you don’t want those actions to leave you with serious penalties that will last for a long time.

If you are facing drunk driving charges, you will need to learn about what options you have. Not only do you have to deal with the criminal justice system, you will likely also have to deal with the possible loss of your driver’s license.

The sad reality is that one mistake can make a huge difference in your quality of life if that mistake was drinking and driving. This is especially true if you have a commercial driver’s license or require a valid driver’s license for your job. In that case, a drunk driving charge can mean you have to find a new profession. If you are allowed to work while the case is pending, you will likely have to find a new job if you are convicted.

We know that the thought of you having to suffer these consequences is a horrible thought. We can’t take away the possible consequences, but we can help you to build your defense against the charges.
